At a locally agreed-upon time, depart for a visit to the city of Managua, starting with the Loma de Tiscapa National Park, where much of the country’s history unfolded. Next, stroll along Bolívar-Chávez Avenue in the historic center of old Managua and its surroundings, visit the Rubén Darío National Theater, the Palace of Culture, and Central Park. Continue the journey to visit the old Malecón, where you can see Lake Managua through a walk along the new Paseo Xolotlan, followed by a visit to the new Puerto Salvador Allende. Begin the journey to the city of León, with a stop to visit the Ruins of León Viejo, the first city founded by the Spaniards on the shores of Lake Xolotlán and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000. At a locally agreed-upon time, embark on an expedition to Cerro Negro Volcano, one of the youngest and most active volcanoes in Nicaragua. At its 750 meters summit, you will have the opportunity to enjoy splendid views of the Marribios volcanic chain, and for the more adventurous, surf on its volcanic sands. In the early afternoon, visit the current colonial city of León, with a focus on its imposing Cathedral and churches. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. (Breakfast)
